Avocado Smoothie

I first saw this recipe on Pinterest about a year ago. I have made it several times since. Emma and I love it! We are the only ones who really enjoy a good avocado in this house.

Now, you may be thinking, an avocado smoothie?! Really?

Yes!

I LOVE avocados. I will always eat my husband’s guacamole when we go to La Carreta and I will ALWAYS order guacamole on my burrito bowl at Chipotle no matter how many times the boy behind the glass tells me it’s $1.99 extra. To me it is worth it.

So, when I saw this recipe I thought I would give it a go. However, I was not entirely sure how the avocado would taste in smoothie form. Oh! It is so good! So creamy! So delicious and healthy for you!

If you like avocados, give this smoothie a try!

Avocado Smoothie

yields: 1 smoothie

1 avocado, peeled and seeded
1 kiwi, peeled
1 banana
honey or sugar
milk

Instructions:

Place avocado, kiwi and banana in a blender. Add honey or sugar. Blend. Add milk as needed until desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately.

You can also make this in with an immersion blender. My husband gave me this one for Christmas which I absolutely love! It’s much easier than using the blender.
